"I had increasing opportunities to hold private exhibitions abroad from 2018, but, from the time around when the exhibition in Beijing was decided, I got a little bored with mainly exhibiting my past works. Then, one time in front of my PC, when I was using software absentmindedly while thinking about how I can grow and enter the next stage, I happened to encounter the effect of cheap, fake-looking 3D representation and was immediately fascinated.

In relation to this, another factor that supports my sense of expression is my love of flowers. You see, my mother always decorated our home with flowers. She picked flowers from the garden or from nearby areas, or she bought them. That was a common daily event, and sometime after I left home and when I bought flowers to remember all that, I noticed that this is a special thing. I am always a little excited when I decorate my home with flowers. Then, I also started decorating my office with flowers from time to time, and they enter my field of view even when I am busy.

3D effects and flowers – I got many ideas by combining these two exciting elements. Something in my heart shakes when I see flowers. Although this expression was born from a very personal situation, I continue to create hoping that this feeling can be conveyed to someone." Yui Takada
